FRATERNITY HERRITAGE
Pi Beta Phi was founded in 1867 by 12 women at Monmouth College in Illinois. Since then then,
Pi Beta Phi has grown and there are currently 132 chapters in the United States and Canada.
In 1996, at the University of Guelph, members of a local sorority called Delta Sigma Chi decided
to become part of a national fraternity for women. They choose to become the Ontario Gamma
chapter of Pi Beta Phi because they shared similar values and goals. |
